Over GoQR

A practical QR platform built to stay understandable.

GoQR is an independent web project from the Netherlands. It combines manageable QR codes with browser-based tools, printable music quiz cards and clear guidance about using QR codes responsibly.

The project

Built by Floris Verdoorn.

I started GoQR to make dynamic QR codes easier to manage without turning every useful feature into an expensive recurring subscription. The project grew from a straightforward link tool into social profile pages, editable information cards, custom QR artwork, a browser scanner and printable music quiz sets.

I work with business applications and integrations in my daily work. That background shapes how GoQR is built: a printed code should keep working, changes should be manageable, errors should be visible and users should understand what happens after a scan.

GoQR is a live, independently maintained service. Existing tools are tested and improved as the service develops. Features are added when they solve a real task and removed when they do not provide a good experience.

Working principles

What GoQR tries to do well.

01

Keep printed codes useful

Dynamic GoQR links can point somewhere new later, so a corrected URL does not automatically require new print material.

02

Explain trade-offs

Logos, unusual colours and tiny print sizes can reduce scan reliability. The tools and guides make those limitations visible.

03

Avoid subscription traps

Premium access is sold as a one-time pass for a stated period. There is no automatic renewal.

04

Respect visitor choice

Analytics waits for consent, public QR pages are separated from private account management and privacy information is kept accessible.
