QR code from screenshot

Scan without using another phone.

If a QR code is already visible on your computer or phone, you do not need a second camera. Save or copy the image, then decode it directly on this page.

01

Copy or save

Take a screenshot or copy the QR code image from the document, email, or website where it appears.

03

Check the result

Review the decoded text or URL first. Only open a web address when you recognize and trust it.

Private by design

Your image stays in your browser.

The QR image is processed locally with browser technology. GoQR does not upload or save the selected image. The decoded result remains visible only on your current page.

Safer QR scanning

  • Check the domain before opening a link.
  • Do not enter passwords after scanning an unexpected code.
  • Be careful with shortened or misspelled domains.
  • Close the page if the destination looks suspicious.
Paste QR FAQ

Questions,
answered.

How do I paste a QR code?

Copy the QR image, open this page, and press Ctrl+V. On supported browsers you can also select Paste from clipboard.

Can I upload a QR code screenshot?

Yes. Upload a PNG, JPG, WebP, or GIF. For the best result, keep the complete QR code and its light border visible.

Is the QR image uploaded to GoQR?

No. Decoding takes place locally in the browser. The selected image is not sent to GoQR.

Why is my QR code not recognized?

Try a sharper image with good contrast. Avoid cropped corners, heavy reflections, very small codes, and missing white space around the QR code.

Does GoQR automatically open the result?

No. GoQR displays the decoded content first. You decide whether to copy it or open a recognized web link.
